Terms of service

Last updated: October 6, 2026

Welcome to Stirlingeco. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of our online store (the "Site") and any purchase you make through it. By using the Site or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.

1. About Us

Stirlingeco ("we", "us", "our") is an online retailer of electric scooters, electric bikes and related accessories, based at 251 Teviot Street, London E14 6TN, United Kingdom.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old to place an order on our Site.

3. Products and Pricing

We make every effort to display product details, specifications, images and prices accurately. Actual range, top speed and battery life depend on rider weight, terrain, weather, tyre pressure and riding style, so stated figures are manufacturer estimates rather than guarantees.

All prices are shown in British Pounds (GBP, £) and include VAT where applicable. Prices may change without notice. If a product is listed at an obviously incorrect price because of an error, we may cancel the order and refund you in full, even after confirmation.

4. Orders and Acceptance

Your order is an offer to buy. A contract is formed when we email you to confirm that your order has been dispatched. We may refuse or cancel an order (for example, if an item is out of stock or we suspect fraud), in which case you will receive a full refund.

5. Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through our secure payment providers. We do not store your full card details.

6. Shipping and Delivery

Delivery is free to addresses in the United Kingdom. Full details are in our Shipping Policy. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

7. Returns, Cancellations and Refunds

You may return items within 30 days of delivery, and you have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. See our Return & Refund Policy for details.

8. Safe and Legal Use of Electric Scooters and E-Bikes

Important: under current UK law, privately owned e-scooters may only be used on private land with the landowner's permission. They are not permitted on public roads, pavements, cycle lanes or in parks. Only e-scooters in official government rental trials may be used on public roads. The rider is responsible for checking and following the law that applies where they ride.

Electric bikes may be ridden on UK roads and cycle paths without a licence, registration or insurance only if they meet the Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle (EAPC) rules — including a motor of no more than 250 watts that stops assisting above 15.5 mph — and the rider is at least 14. Bikes that exceed these limits are treated as motor vehicles. Product pages state each model's motor power and assisted speed so you can check it before buying.

Always wear a helmet, follow the manufacturer's instructions, charge batteries only with the supplied charger and never leave a battery charging unattended.

9. Warranty

Products are covered by the manufacturer's warranty in addition to your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015. Contact us first and we will help you make a warranty claim.

10. Limitation of Liability

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that cannot be limited under English law, including your statutory rights as a consumer.

Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, for business losses, or for losses caused by using a product unlawfully, contrary to its instructions, or after unauthorised modification.

11. Intellectual Property

All content on the Site, including text, graphics and logos, belongs to us or our licensors and may not be copied without permission. Brand names and trademarks shown belong to their respective owners.

12. Privacy

How we handle your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version in force when you place your order applies to that order.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. You may bring proceedings in the courts of England and Wales, or, if you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, in the courts of your home nation.
